Postby marek25 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 1:43 am

Hi
I have chosen following components for a desktop LS i would like to build:

Laser........................LBS-532-TL-20-100 or David green laser
http://www.laserglow.com/BLG#

Positioning motor.........ST2818S1006
Gearing.....................GPLL 22-90 (89 121/169:1)
http://de.nanotec.com/schrittmotor_st2818.html

Camera.....................DMK 31AU03
Lens.........................H614-MQ(KP)
http://www.theimagingsource.com/de_DE/products/optics/lenses/

Power Supply..............Condor GECA20-12G
http://de.mouser.com/ProductDetail/SL-Power/GECA20-12G/?qs=C701iA%252bXzMy%252bQ7mdF%252bbsTw==#AB

Electronic hardware: EasyDriver v4, Arduino Uno

The Laserglow device is a class 3b laser. Should i expect any problems by german custom?
Let me know please if you see any incompatibilities or if you know better parts or solutions. Also i would be very grateful for any hint how to program arduino for making suitable laser sweep.

laser under 5mw are 3R no rules in germany.

Hi milz

Interesting this UVV form, but thats (IMO) for somebody who operate laser devices in business/commercial way in a kind of enterprice with employees. I meant with problems by custom any import restrictions or even prohibition.
I also took a look at the Picotronic shop, but all the lasers there seemd to be unfocusable.

Thank you anyway

Hi Marek,
Do you really feel certain to buy a monochrome camera? If you need all its pixels for a very detailed scan, then ok.
On the other hand also think of a nice colourful texture. In this case the DFK31AF03 from the same provider would be a good choise.

The chosen motor & gear combo will work fine, it's about the same what I have built-up here:

Do you know this thread?:

Walter

Edit:
About 70% of the lasers of the DAVID Shop are focusable. And they are coming from Picotronic.
