Walter,
i have a Huanic, LC532-5-3-F (green focusable) are you saying that battery's are not good enough to run this, or just that they won't last long?

Batteries are fine for supplying a laser. The quality of the voltage is perfect. Regarding e.g. spikes.

But if you like to scan over hours, as a lot of us it are doing, the battery's life will soon come to an end. And, because the voltage drops slowly, you do not notice it directly. Only you see that the quality of the scans become worse.

The minimum supply voltage for your green laser is specified with 2.7V.
