" LETS SCAN " Based on david laser scanner

I was able to get an Nec V260X and an Acer K11 for little on Ebay. I'll post result with DLS and Lets Scan once they arrive.

I hope to get the bottom of these waves problems.

My turntable should soon also be operational (thanks Walter).

I received the Acer K11.

The NEC will be arriving in the next few days.

FIrst quick test and it is already an improvement. Not perfect yet but getting there.

Two photos below:

1)
Lets Scan 14 patterns vertical
Canon 60D with 60 mm macro lens , 1/30, F/14
Resolution 2592 x 1728 of photos
Acer K11 800 x 600 @ 60hz
Vertical setup

2) Gorilla head cut at top
Live view in DSL only, 28 patterns
Canon 60D with 60 mm macro lens , magic lantern 15FPS
Acer K11 800 x 600 @ 60hz
Vertical setup

Anyone wants to build a "zero" frequency projector ?

Another try:

Lets Scan 14 patterns vertical
Canon 60D with 60 mm macro lens , 1/15, F/14
Resolution 2592 x 1728, JPEG fine (was previously on a less good JPEG setting)
Acer K11 800 x 600 @ 60hz
Vertical setup

Calibration panel for all: 60 mm

For some reason, the panel has some line but the gorilla is good.

Hi Jeff,

Congratulation and thank you for your posts. :D

In fact ; it is not necessary to use more patterns to get more accurate and high quality 3d scan results .
If we take a look to this forum and some others , we will get that the major problem is to see the projection by the camera and of course by the 3d scanning software.

The Software will see only what you want to give it to see and it will return the result of its inputs.

Thanks again

Hi Narmella,

Any news on the Direct Show version? I know you had some issues on your system. Just trying to follow up since I posted 2 weeks ago.

Thanks!

NARMELLA thank you for sharing LETS SCAN
I have a Canon 450D camera. I downloaded the Scan Lets 2.2 SP1. camera is recognizable by applications. The projector is on "Display2" I do not know what to do I belong to the program after the projector to display patterns?
Please help ! What should be done step by step, in the Let's Scan to save the calibration sequence.
Do clicking on "Show Projection" should trigger process on the projector to display patterns and save images?
