I have some question. For what use 2 oder 3 cameras at the same time ?
After all, it is available simply rotate the model?

I understand, that 2 cameras improve precision. Maybe the cameras kind of double check the results from each other? With 1 camera and David4, I sometimes get curled edges or shiny surfaces produce some artifacts. If the two cameras get different results for those difficult spots, David might discard them so you have less cleanup to do. That all is just what i imagine though, I would find it very interesting to get some insight into the mechanisms behind all that :)

If you use extended mode, the cameras work like in single camera mode but acquire a larger area of your object. Of course you can get the same by rotating the object more often and in smaller steps. It simply reduces the number of scans you have to do and therefore save time. It also means less scans to align and fuse and save some more time.

Anyway, up to now I do not see (or undestand) any obvious benefits.
