Indeed there was a bug in the 3.5.1 setup installer which made DAVID start in German. We have fixed that.
Details: The language setting is stored in DAVID in /Settings/Language.xml. If that file does not exist, DAVID uses the system language (at this time, only German or English), and English by default.
The bug was that the setup installer created a Language.xml file with the setting "German" IN ANY CASE.
