Hi moorish,

did you have a try on Scanalyze?
What are your results?

It works great, did as instructions said, was able to combine tons of meshes. Gets slow after 5-8, you have to unload them and only work on two at a time

Hi,

gets slow after up to 8?
I usually work with 520 to 530 and it doesn't get slow.
A normal one of our statues has a number about 500 patches the larges contains 1173. Sometime I work with 3 instances of scanalyze online at the same time and it doesn't slow down.

What kind of computer and operatingsystem are you using?

scanalyze runs on a dual Xeon 2ghz with 2gb ram and a quadro 4 950GLX, at work. At home I've got a amd64 3000+ 2 gb ram an a quadro4 750 GLX which isn't slower than the dual xeon.

The only problem I hvae to deal with is the memory limitation at vrip. A vrip run can be done up to a resolution of 1.5mm without segmentation faults. For 1.2 and better I need more 4gb ram and more.

core 2 duo - 2gb of ram, but yes after 8, it gets very slow and will crash over time, which is pretty much normal unless i turn off the display.

I don't use vrip, when i'm done, i'll merge using one of the commercial programs out there, which does a better job.
