anyone need one of these made?
much easier to set up camera! just put projection on to object and focus, set angle you want on camera mount ( about 25° to 30° ) then slide camera so you have projected image in view, focus camera, lock everything up, move object put calibration panels at same position, calibrate ;-)

the projector and camera are always at same angle as projector is tilted down to compensate for the 15° (in my case) upward projection. projector is held on by 1/4 in bolt like standard tripod.

the 20x40mm extrusion can be any length you like really as is very ridged, I did mine about 1m and made it to go on standard tripod 1/4 in thread, with evenly placed holes along the length.

I like your setup. I too was inspired by the SLS-2 so I modeled up some plans for my own but have yet to build it.

I have made the projector mount so that a set of printed angle spacers can be fitted to make it work with almost any projector
spacers of 2° 3° 4° and 5° or combinations of. the set angle of the mount is 11°

I have 2 the imaging source DFK 42BUC03's never had driver problems with them, not tried ptgray, i do have another camera Lumenera that is a bit odd to use, you have to select the camera then nothing happens until you click on the camera format button and select ok then I see an image then have to set exposure to -5 and go back in to set the fps.

do you see the cameras in the list in david?
