Howto Adding CAD .stl to DAVID

Postby milz » Sun Oct 20, 2013 9:39 pm

Hi

Here is a simple and easy way how to use CAD constructions in DAVID and fuse it with scan
at first build your object eg in Autodesk Inventor.
Export it as .stl file with mm a measurement
Open the stl in meshlab and choose "simplification remeshing and reconstruction" > "CSG operation"
After this you have to turn the vertexes with "Normals,Curvatures and Orientation" > Invert Faces Orientation
now you can save it as .obj and add it to david
