I have been working off two tripods but I want to move to a more flexible / portable and compact solution to hold the camera and projector on one stand
Before I go ahead and build something, I searched the forum but could not really find the "perfect stand".
I placed an horizontal setup today with the aim of having a near 0 degre vertical angle on a 39 mm calibration panel and a Canon 60 mm macro lens. As you can see from the photo, I needed to adjust the projector angle a lot to get near 0 in the calibration process.
I had made the assumption that 0 vertical was when both camera and projector were leveled but obviously I was wrong.
Anyway, the ideal stand would offer all of this:
Switching between horizontal & vertical setup.
Very rigid to avoid vibration when using Lets Scan / Image grabber
Adjustment of the angle of the projector in both horizontal and vertical setup (as per above)
Adjustment of the distance between the projector and camera (of course
Adjustement of the height of the camera or projector in relation to one another in horizontal mode
In the future, scanning with two cameras in vertical or horizontal
If some one could direct me to a previous post or show photos of his setup, that would be very useful.
