High loadable turntable

Which camera works? Where can you buy an adequate laser? And more...

Hi Jeff,

To your questions:
a) Yes, 12V / 2A is ok.

b) SW1 = 0 / SW2 = 1 / SW3 = 0 / Each motor coil is set to 0.5 A (I had changed it in the meantime). You can increase the current to 1A. Then SW1 = 0 / SW2 = 0 / SW3 = 1.

S1 = 1 / S2 = 0 / Decay mode = 25%. Find yourself an optimal setting to reduce the motor noise at standstill.
S3 = 1 / S4 = 0 / ½ step mode. You can also choose 1/8 step mode.
S5 = 1 / S6 = 1 / Torque = 20%. Choose an optimal setting for a „smooth“ run.

c) I had glued the 3 legs of the (black) mini trim potentiometer directly on the backside of the LCD display. It is clearly visible. It's not necessary to adjust it from the outside, only 1x and that's for ever. :wink:

Hello Walter,

I received all the components.

I find the box a little small.

Can you please confirm that the box from Corand is 121 x 94 x 34 or has Conrad changed the reference for the link.

Thanks.

Jeff,
I have just remeasured the box and your values are the very same.

Of course all 3 measures are very short, especially the width and the hight, but it's sufficient.

Hi Walter,

As you can see from the photos, with the Sainsmart driver, the box 121 x 94 x 34 is really to small.

I cannot close the lid with just the sainsmart driver in it.

I guess this one is equivalent to the one from your photo with the sainsmart.

Hi Jeff,

Sorry for the big misunderstanding. I thought that you would like to use the Conrad box as a housing for the steppermotor with gear. :oops:
But I had written in my first post on page 1 of this thread:

"The black plastic box for the motor is this":
http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/5384 ... 1GSBK-1-St

The box for the Arduino and motor driver board is this one:

Hi quicktel,

try:
http://www.torwegge.de/components/fordertechnik/lenkkranze.html?limit=36
LE280-10 is the ring Walter uses, LE320-10 is even bigger, made of aluminium and capable of bearing 300 kg.
The english catalogue (ring: page 690) can be found at:
http://www.torwegge-group.com/online-catalogue/rr_ft/#690/z

I do not know, if they deliver to the USA, but its worth a try.

Best regards
Ingo

Sorry quicktel, I don't know resellers of this turntable ring in the USA. I have sent you a pm.

Additionally to the sellers named by Ingo, here is another German one:

Hello Walter,

I am almost there ! :)

Still need to do a little paint job and modify the code for the Sainsmart.

I hope it will not be too difficult. For the moment, the 45 degree increment produces a 90 degree rotation.

Again, thank you.

Jeff

Regarding the code, I simply changed these values. I think it's working correctly:

incrSteps = 751; // was 1501
number_scans = 16; // 16 scans á 22.5°

incrSteps = 1501; // was 3001
number_scans = 8; // 8 scans á 45°

incrSteps = 1201; // was 2401
number_scans = 10; // 10 scans á 36°
