[ThirdParty] can't log in?

Postby moog » Wed Oct 02, 2013 12:05 am

I can't seem to log in at home for the last few days..
here at work, its ok, but at home, i log in, then a few seconds later it logs me out again.
whats strange is that i show up as a registered user at the bottom of the board, but I'm not logged in.???
I dissabled the AVG anti-virus, but that didn't help.
Any ideas that might help?

I had this problem just a few days ago and contacted Sven and he said it was all about the cookies. He actually fixed it somehow on his end and I was able to log in right away. Then yesterday I had the problem again so I deleted all the cookies from my browser and was able to log on. Might want to try it.

Hi,
Do you still have that problem? It seems everything is working fine...
Have you tried a different browser?

Hi Moog, Alyx,

I'm sorry. I can't reproduce the problem, not with IE nor Firefox, Opera... All other forum users are posting, so it seems to be a problem at your local computer. What can we do? Please try to clear all browser data (cache, cookies).

Soon I will update the forum software, maybe that solves the problem...

Hi Sven,
Yes, it is a local bug of IE or other browsers. What it caused? who knows, just cleaning history, cache etc. solved the problem.

Similar problem (happening from time to time now - never had this befor) here on MAC-Safari and MAC Firefox:

When I log in I get "successfully logged in" and I´m shown in the active users line but I cann´t do anything as if I were a different user.
If I try to post or enter the control panel, I´m redirected to the login forumlar. Even a new loggin doesn´t help. Also clearing cookies does not help immediately. Hard to say, but it seems I have to wait until a login timeout then.
