I have crash in any action with the scans which having a 0 vertices.
Cleaning the scans leads to the appearance mesh with 0 vertices.
One possible solution: enter verification and automatically remove such scans.

Hi,

Thank you for your report!
Indeed DAVID crashes when trying to ALIGN a scan with 0 vertices. :oops:
I have fixed that for the next version, 3.9, coming soon.
Also, DAVID 3.9 will warn when you delete a whole scan, and ask for confirmation. If a whole scan is deleted, it will be removed from the List.
