A White Light Button

Postby micr0 » Tue Apr 05, 2016 1:40 am

A button on the scanning page that removes (turns off) the static scan pattern and just projects white light. This would be useful to see what the camera sees when positioning the model for the next scan. Right now with the bar pattern projected it is too confusing to see if the camera is getting say a little crevasse or detail. I scan in a darkened room and have to turn the lights on sometimes when positioning, and even that isn't enough some times .

Yes, I second that !

And also an option while in "fusion":

Automatically lower projector intensity to minimum or project a black image or both.

Reason: When scanning small items, your are close to the projector = noise, heat, bright light.

Actually, during "fusion", David gives control back to Windows.

The trick is to assign a black image to the background of the second monitor/projector.

Procedure in Windows 10:

Regarding projection in scanning tab, that^s would be very helpful to toggle between white screen & pattern.
