POINT CLOUDS TO SKETCHUP

Hi All,
I'm very new here and in DAVID world.
I'm thinking to buy the DAVID SLS-2 for scanning vehicles (mainly vans) in order to design adaptations as a mobile offices.
I have experience with Sketchup Pro 2015, so my question is if someone of you know the most proper workflow for managing point cloud generated for DAVID on Sketchup, or should be better to manage them in another 3D software, or with a point cloud software between DAVID and Sketchup?.
The idea is to measure and adapt the sketchup designs to the vehicle shapes, and then to cut the pieces on CNC.

Please i'll appreciate any orientation about this subject.
