Fabscan hardware to David scans

Postby hyppyayo » Wed Dec 18, 2013 4:30 pm

Hello Everybody,
i get a fabscan kit with fabshield, and i would like to use this hardware to scan with David Software. The fabscan results are so bad, but i think it's a good idea to use this hardware for David.

my problem is the arduino sketch, how could i interface to control the 2 motors (turntable andl laser) (the shield uses pololu)?

in attach there is the fabscan sketch.

There is an Angel who helps me?

Hi,

besides programming the arduino - this should be doable:
AFAIK FabScan is a turntable scanner. This isn't DAVIDs concept. You might use some components as cam, laser, stepper and controller but you might have to construct a different setup. You might also need aditional parts (e.g. a gearbox to get better resolution for the laser stepper) . Are you aware of this?

my idea is to use the fabscan shield to drive motors. I need only the arduino code for automatic scan
