3D Coordinate calculation

Postby Bolte83 » Thu Dec 20, 2012 4:26 pm

When I sweep the Laser several times over my Objekt what does the Software do ?

1. Are the old Coordinates replaced by the new ones ?
2. Are only holes filled by new coordinates ?
3. Or is the result a average of new and old coordinates?

Thanks for the quick answer

Hi Bolte,

The answer is 3.
They are averaged with different weights. Usually the new value has a lower weight, so you can sweep over it several times.
See Advanced Settings -> Laserscanner -> Triangulation -> NewDepthValueWeight.
We found 0.3 to be a reasonable weight in most cases.
