My Setup - Advise needed.

Here is the area I plan to setup.

Image

as you can see its a room with a wall 10' wall wide, and 8' high. Also note there is allready a projector facing the wrong way but I have one.

My goal is to scan the car parts you see there is allot of them. Transmission, steering parts, hood ect.

So some objects will be large and some small.

So my question is where to begin. Do I cut some carpet and mark the floor. and wall? I will need a motorized solution and make a setup like Gunter made for his furniture scans correct?

Do I paint the wall and floor? I don't understand backgroundless scanning at all! does it use a 90 with those calibration dots? Also how about the projector is that an advantage?

Thank you! lost in a haze here have read everything I can but still lost.
