Help with fusing

Here's my scans, largely complete but when I fuse at 1000 I get

Which clearly has more holes than when I started.
If I fuse at 500, I get no holes, but loss of detail.
How can I use the "fill holes" option without getting a huge pillow around the scan?
Cheers

After you have made each single scan and before you save it you should use DAVID's filtering tool. You will find it below „3D Laser scanning“ and „Result Filtering“.
You can smooth your scan by Smooth Average and/or Smooth Median. „Interpolation“ with its different levels will close small holes.
