can i transform a 3D shape in a 2D IMAGE ?

Postby avas76 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:17 pm

Hello everybody !
I found this software on internet and I think it is good for my needs.
I need to transform a 3D object in a 2D developed image. the closer example is like a peeling a half of orange.
in practice... i am making mobile phone skins. i need to scan the back of the phone (with all round shapes and everything ),and then i need to develop the resulted image to obtain a flat 2D developed image of the back of the phone, so after cutting the skin this one to fit perfectly on the phone.
CAN I DO IT WITH THIS SOFTWARE ???
i hope you can understand my english :).... many thanks for your time.

Hi,
Yes, I think that you can do this (and more) with David. Take in mind that you, with a 3D object, can obtain 3D and 2D data.

Regards,
Mattia
