Calibration board size

Postby jonathonli » Fri Apr 17, 2015 7:15 am

Hi all,

I've read some post but still not complete understand the relation between calibration board size and object size being scanned.

if I want to scan a 20x20x20cm object, is it better to use 240mm board?

if I want to scan a human size object, like 60x60x200cm, do I have to make a calibration board bigger than 2000mm? where could I find the original file and is it OK to just enlarge the whole picture or need other tuning?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathon,
Here you can find under chapter 4.2 what size of calibration pattern you should use:
http://downloads.david-3d.com/SLS-2/DAV ... EN_web.pdf

Ten other languages are also available for the DAVID manual: If interested, then start from here:
http://www.david-3d.com/en/support/usermanuals

Regarding very big calibration corners, please look here:

You simply have to enlarge the calibration pattern. Its files came with the DAVID software in the 'printout' folder..
