Error during calibration

Postby christmas-fan » Thu May 28, 2009 7:53 pm

Hello,

The program just calibrated correctly but said error.
Please see by yourself (error_calibration.pdf)

Would be nice, if somebody could help.

Hi,

strange, I never had that.
Your cam seems to have a very narrow angle lens (zoom range) so the perspectively distortion is a very little one. I assume DAVID interprets this as a single plane which is not an allowed target.

Try to place the cam in an angle towards the planes (a little from above or below) maybe that helps? Don´t know....

Gunter

BTW: posting a simple jpg might be easier for you and for us

Hi,

I recall this, for it is an interesting thing:

We solved that yesterday via phone.
I was right, the calibration was accepted soon as the cam picture showed more profile by placing it a little higher.

So what do we learn? Also a cam´s optics maybe too good - not wide angled enough - in special situations

or @Sven: Might be a bug? - but I think its a feature

Sorry, am I missing something??? In that screenshot from Christian, there are only 4 lines of calibration markers. The top row is missing.

The lens parameters should not be a problem, as long as the calibration markers are not all in one plane in real world.

Hm,

old men with laserblinded eyes aren´t able to bow their head to the side any more

sorry Sven, I didn't noticed the top margin and thought the image would be cut .
And all fitted together so nice:
Stephan rised his cam and (surprise surprise) all worked fine.

BTW:
If I remember right: there were messages like "expected 25 markers - found ...markers" - did you remove these?

Sorry for my wrong assumption

Sorry to all!
I feel guilty.
