Logitech Quickcam chat

Postby william » Sun Mar 22, 2009 3:14 pm

I can not get my web cam to calibrate.Format: 352*288 30fps 24 bit. Scale: 44.5mm.
Try to calibrate using:
Automatic, Eraser, Manual mode, Inverted print.
Set at 90 deg.
I have also used smaller and larger calibration sheets, all ways setting the scale, have tried different back round colour.
Also the web cam is hard to focus at any time.
I spent 6 hours trying to get this to work.
Will this web cam work with David ?.

Did you use the Erase to get rid of all of the dark background around your calibration sheets, everything should be white except the calibration points, I usually move the cam close enough so all i see are the calibration points in the full screen.

Also I am curious why are you using the 44.5mm scale, Did you rescale the printout yourself, the normal is 60 or 30 if you use the ones from David directory.

Here is what it needs to look like, this is the calibration.avi from David.
